Geeta Bharat Jain was born on July 5 1964 in Mumbai. Her family was simple, Marwari-speaking and not very rich.
Her father had a small cloth shop in Jogeshwari and she was the eldest of three kids. Growing up in a hardworking family, she learned the value of never giving up.
First, she studied at M.A. High School in Andheri, then Bhavan’s College in Mumbai.
Later she did a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (D.M.L.T.) from PVT Polytechnic College, Santacruz.
At that time, her main attention was on healthcare but later she moved to politics.
Political Journey Begins
She started her political career in 2002 as a corporator in Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation. Slowly, she became a big name in local politics.
For 15 years she worked on improving infrastructure and community welfare.
Then in 2015, she became the Mayor of Mira Bhayandar. Then, during her time as mayor, people noticed her leadership skills.
