Narendra Mehta was born on 25th September 1972 in Desuri village which is in Pali District Rajasthan. But his early life was not easy at all. He faced lots of struggles. Then, when he was just seven, his father passed away. Because of this, his family found it really hard to stay in their hometown, so they had to move to Bhayandar Maharashtra. This happened in 1977.

Now due to financial problems, Narendra Mehta could not finish his education. He had to stop after 8th standard at Our Lady of Nazareth High School. Then, since his family needed money, he had no choice but to start working at a young age to support them.

Political Journey

So his political journey actually started in 1997 when he joined the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation.

People quickly noticed his dedication and leadership skills and he kept moving up. Then in 2007, he became the Mayor of Mira-Bhayandar. Later in 2014, he got elected as an MLA from Mira Bhayandar.

During this time he worked hard to develop the area and one big project he was part of was Metro 9 which aimed to improve connectivity between Dahisar and Bhayandar.

But apart from politics, he also became successful in business. He started several ventures in different fields like construction, education, and healthcare.

He is mainly known for being linked with the Seven Eleven group, which operates in these sectors in Mira Bhayandar.

Maharashtra Assembly elections

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, he lost to an independent candidate Geeta Bharat Jain by a margin of 15535 votes. After that in February 2020 he resigned from all positions in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and even apologized to the senior leaders.

But then in October 2024, BJP gave him a ticket again for the Mira Bhayandar constituency for the upcoming elections. Because of this, Geeta Jain, who had defeated him earlier, decided to contest as an independent candidate, since BJP did not give her a ticket.

Personal Life

On the personal side, Narendra Mehta is married to Suman Mehta and they have two kids. In 2016 he made headlines when he gifted his wife a luxury car. But shortly after getting it, she met with a minor accident. Luckily no one was hurt.
